VEGEA’s production process has been optimised to:

• Reduce greenhouse-gas emissions and water consumption
• Eliminate the use and generation of heavy metals or toxic substances
• Offer long-lasting fabrics, reducing the need for replacements and the consumption of new resources

CERTIFICATIONS

Our company and main articles, together with our main partners along the supply chain, are certified G.R.S. (Global Recycled Standard). The GRS is intended to verify recycled content of the products and its traceability, as well as to accurately define chemical additives approved and banned. Furthermore it also verifies responsible environmental and social practices of the companies.

DURABILITY

Sustainability for Vegea is not only about circularity, but also about product longevity. We design robust, stable and durable fabrics, able to extend the life cycle of all items that use them. A material that lasts longer reduces replacements frequency, limits the consumption of new resources and lowers its overall environmental impact.

TRANSPARENCY

The sustainability of our products is verified according to international standards: we use the PEFCR (Product Environmental Footprint Category Rules) methodology, which evaluates environmental impact across the entire life cycle of the product.

This assessment enables us to communicate clearly and transparently the impact of our fabrics to both partners and end customers.

DPP

Vegea is already aligned with the principles of the ESPR – Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, the European legislation that promotes more sustainable, circular and durable products.

For this reason, the DPP – Digital Product Passport is also being integrated. This digital tool gathers verifiable data on material composition, durability, recyclability, and environmental impact, supporting traceability and end of life management.
